Starting Wave Times

You will receive an email by the 23rd October, explaining how to pre-book your starting wave to avoid too much hanging around before the race.  The email will also contain a pre-race safety briefing and any other relevant updates you may need.


Registration: From 7.30am at the Muckmedden tent in the event village.

Wave 1 will leave the event village at 9am (approx) and riders will set-off in waves of 10 riders every 5 minutes.  Please arrive at registration a minimum of 1 hour before your wave start time.

Cut off for all stages is 3.45pm.

All riders will receive a safety briefing via email and be briefed at the start line on any relevant updates.

Prize-giving at 4.30pm approx – all riders have the chance to win some swag in our Charity Raffle, but you must be there to win.


6 stages containing everything from bike park jumps to rocky chutes, wet roots, high-speed singletrack and steep drops.  The entire course should take 2 – 5hrs to complete and will be between 20 – 25km in length with lots of climbing and descending.

Mandatory Equipment

  • Fully fastening, undamaged safety helmet 
  • Protective gloves
  • Bar end plugs
  • Fully-functional mountain bike in good condition
  • Closed-toed shoes
  • Packable, thermal/waterproof layer
  • Sufficient fluid/snacks for a full day on the hills
  • Spare tubes, quick-links, multi-tool, pump
  • Fully-charged mobile phone with credit

Recommended Equipment

  • Full faced helmet
  • Knee and elbow pads 
  • Back Protector
  • Basic first aid kit with bandages, wipes, sterile dressings etc
