It’s official, Fair City Enduro 2018 will be an Enduro World Series Qualifier Event!

We are very proud to announce that the sixth annual fancy-dress MTB extravaganza, Fair City Enduro, will be an Enduro World Series (EWS) qualifier event in 2018! That means that any riders who are looking to achieve a place on the fabled Enduro World Series Reserve List can do it dressed as a Banana if they want! As this will be the only event of it’s type to be held in Scotland in 2018 (and surely the only fancy dress themed EWS qualifier in the world?) we’re just a bit ecstatic about that! Especially the Banana bit.
Chris Ball, Director of the Enduro World Series, was allegedly seen dancing in the streets of Peebles during the wee small hours as he was so ecstatic to have clinched the deal with the mighty Muckmedden Events….allegedly. Rumour has it he said something like; “Fair City Enduro is undoubtedly the awesomest of all the fancy dress themed Enduros in Perth. Or is it the only one? Who cares anyway? We are always looking for exciting new events and venues to enhance the Enduro World Series and Fair City Enduro fits that bill very well. Being hosted in one of Scotland’s most vibrant small cities, the event has an excellent reputation as one of the UK’s top Enduros, and with an accessible city centre location the event should be attractive to both national and international visitors. I’m very pleased to welcome Muckmedden Events into the EWS family and look forward to working with their team in 2018.”
Despite the horrendous paraphrasing, most of that is actually true…..particularly the bit about FCE 2018 being an EWS Qualifier Event.
Don’t panic if you’re coming to Fair City Enduro and not looking to getting a place on the fabled Enduro World Series Reserve List. You can still dress up like Wonderwoman and the essence of the event will be exactly the same. but wouldn’t it be great if Wonderwoman actually qualified for the EWS?! Pleeeease, let’s make it happen!
