THE FALKIRK FUNDURO

26th November 2016, Callendar Estate, Falkirk

It’s a Hard Days Night!

Falkirk Funduro is Central Scotland’s only MTB Enduro.

It takes place in late November when it gets dark at 4pm. The fast-flowing trails on Callendar Estate are wicked fun on a night ride and perfect for a kid’s Enduro.

We make the most of that situation!

GETTING THERE

BY ROAD
If you are from outwith Falkirk and don’t mind a short cycle/walk to the event village, you can park at the Falkirk Wheel and cycle up to Greenrig. It is a fairly easy 2.5km ride, there are plenty of parking spaces and has the added advantage that it is clearly signposted from the M9. You also get to see the amazing feet of engineering that is the Falkirk Wheel on the way which is well worth a visit if you’ve never been before.

If you wish to park closer to the event village parking is also available along the verge of the estate road just along from Greenrig car park – FK1 3AQ on a Sat-Nav. From the B8028 in Falkirk, turn onto Slamannan Road at the traffic lights and continue SA until you reach a roundabout. Take the fourth exit (Lochgreen Road) and continue SA until you see two large, modern wooden buildings on the RHS.

Please follow signs for “Event Parking”. An attendant will be on hand to direct you to a safe parking place, please listen to the attendant and park where you are asked to park. Some sections of the verge are soft and parking on them may result in your vehicle being stuck.

If you are local to Falkirk you can also park at Bantaskine which is 1.5km from the event village. For the event village follow signs to Greenrig.
