What is Muckmaiden?

Muckmaiden Ladies Days are held a couple of weeks before each Muckmedden event to give female riders the chance to enjoy a social ride on the trails that will be used in the upcoming race, or get some professional coaching in a female-specific environment.

Guided Ride

The Guided Rides at Muckmaiden Ladies Days are run by Ginger Squirrel Adventures and give female riders an opportunity to practice tricky sections and get advice from the ladies who regularly podium in the UK MTB racing scene.

This Muckmaiden day is an event in itself!  You have the option to either MTB or run the beautiful fife coastal path where Muckmedden’s new off-road Duathlon “The Muckathlon” will take place as part of The Eliminator MTB Festival.  You then return to base to refuel with a BBQ  burger (included in ticket price) followed by a few uplifted runs of the Eliminator Head2Head track.  Who doesn’t want to ride in the back of a tractor?!

Thanks to funding, GSA are able to keep their costs down to a hugely discounted £5.00* for female race entrants and £15.00 for non-racers!  As GSA are a non-profit organisation, all funds are invested into getting women on Mountain Bikes. We all want that don’t we?

*Use the discount code: muckmaidennewburgh when purchasing your Guided Ride ticket.

Skills Coaching

Skills Coaching is provided by Progression Bikes and takes place after the Guided Ride from 4.30pm until 7.30pm.  This is perfect for any female riders looking to hone their MTB skills and will concentrate on specific areas of your riding you’d like to brush up on, such as tackling drops, jumps and roots. The cost is £35 per person and includes the smug satisfaction of knowing you’re now a better rider than when you started.

All attendees must agree to our terms and conditions before purchasing tickets.
