By his own admission, when Trev Worsey from Enduro Mountainbike Magazine came to Forfar Funduro for the first time last year, he had set his sights low to avoid disappointment.  After all, Forfar isn’t exactly Whistler is it?

Nope, Forfar isn’t Whistler.  Whistler begins with a ‘W’, just like the following sentence: “Wow, isn’t Canada thousands of miles away?”

Forfar on the other hand starts with an ‘F’ as in…..”Flippin’ eck that Forfar Funduro was Fantastic!  I’d have been Flamin’ Flummoxed if I’d missed it because the timed stages were Frikkin’ Fabulous!  Those trails were more Fun than eating er…Fish in my Flip-Flops.”

Ok, so we lost our way a bit towards the end there, but the point is that Trevor was blown away by li’l ol’ Forfar Funduro, with many gushing statements like: …..”We have done our fair share of racing all over the world, and second for second, we would happily agree that the trails in Forfar were a rival to the best of them”.  Yup, you’d better believe it baby, it really is that good.

But not only is it that good, but it’s also just around the corner (Saturday 17th of September to be precise) which unbelievably means we’re just over a month away from taping off our ridiculously fun Dual Slalom stage and installing the infamous “Collective Kicker” in Reid Park.  Yeeeeeehaaa Mucker Huckers, it’s onnnn!

Entries are filling up fast so if your idea of fun is riding amazing trails with amazing people, you know what you have to do.  Check out Trevor’s full race report from last year here if you still need convincing and then click here to enter.

OH, IT’S EXCITING!!

Forfar Funduro is part of the Angus Cycling Festival.  With is so much other cool stuff going on throughout the weekend from kids races to live bands, family-rides and a stunt airbag, why not make a weekend of it?
